Thrilled with this - Can be used with any shape and takes little storage space. The best is - I have a long narrow marquis shaped platter that I like to serve a slab of ribs in, among other things. I mold the trivet into an elongated S shape - undetectable and protects my table with out taking away from the attractiveness of my unique dish. YOU can coil it for smaller dishes or mold into a circle for larger. Very versitle, unique and affordable.
