Throw away every trivet you ever bought. Why? First of all this trivet folds and takes up zero space. I keep mine handy in the silverware drawer next to the stove. It doesn't get hot. It doesn't melt. It is literally the best trivet you will ever own. I own 2 and bought 2 for my daughter-in-law.

These are great. Fold for storage, silicone for heat; I love these use all the time, easy cleanup. WILL LAST FOREVER, I use two for large casseroles. A best buy.

I didn't want a traditional trivet cluttering up my kitchen. They are usually a gaudy design, heavy (steel), and are a unitasker. I was happy to find the Blomus Trivet. It's a cool color that adds some spice to my home. It folds up neatly to pack away in a drawer. And it deploys easily to hold hot pots and pans without ruining my counter. I didn't think the rubber could withstand high temps so I was very cautious using it initially. I have since put very hot cast iron pans on it, direct from the head, with no issues. It has held up wonderfully and shows no sign of melting or charring.
