These coasters have a hole in the middle which isn't immediately apparent from the product image. This hole coupled with the silicone's lack of absorbency causes condensation from cold drinks to pool in the hole without anywhere to go, except into your wood furniture. If these coasters were solid it probably would have been a different story.

Not much to say about coasters, but this is a really nice set, the stainless steel holder looks nice and feels great, my only complaint is that the actual coaster itself is a little soft (personal preference that i like them stiffer) and also the coasters themselves seem to attract a bit of dust, but all minor stuff. price is a little high, but i felt that they are worth it, especially since my previous coaster set wasnt that much cheaper and didnt compare to these in quality.
